“Three Women and a Silent Friend”

Sometime after the Livejournal star began to wane, in a last gasp of innovation, the company introduced a remarkable—or so it seemed in 2006—new feature: voice posting. One could dial a number, talk into the phone, and have the recording serve as a Livejournal post for the ears of friends and strangers alike. These recordings were also aggregated into a randomized feed that listeners could stream in iTunes.
